Free vaccination provided to 3,000 cows in Rajshahi

A free vaccination programme to protect the health of livestock belonging to farmers and households in the remote Char Majhardia area of Haripur Union under Paba Upazila of Rajshahi on Sunday.

Around 3,000 cows were vaccinated during the day-long programme, reports BSS.

The programme was organized with the initiative and self-financing of Rajshahi District Jubodal member Faridul Islam Shahebzada. Paba-Mohanpur constituency lawmaker and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Water Resources Advocate Mohammad Shafiqul Haque Milon inaugurated the programme. Addressing the inaugural ceremony, the MP said Char Majhardia is a remote area where thousands of cows, goats and buffaloes are reared.

“Such initiatives are important for ensuring the care and health protection of livestock,” he said, adding that the vaccination programme was arranged through the personal initiative and funding of Faridul Islam Shahebzada.
