ICT to begin arguments in Quader case on Aug 4

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 on Sunday fixed August 4 for the start of arguments in a crimes against humanity case over killings during the July Mass Uprising against seven accused, including Awami League General Secretary and former minister Obaidul Quader.

The three-member tribunal, headed by Justice Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, passed the order after the prosecution concluded the presentation of witness testimony in the case. The other accused are Awami League Joint General Secretary A F M Bahauddin Nasim, former State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat.
