Litton Das called up for Australia series

Finally, there is a good news. Litton Das has been included in the Bangladesh Cricket squad ahead of the start of the series against Australia Cricket team.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the matter in a statement on Saturday.

Litton was not in the Test squad against Australia as he could not recover from a foot injury.

The first batch of the Bangladesh team flew to Australia to play the two-match Test series.

Meanwhile, good news has come. Wicketkeeper-batter Litton has been included in the Bangladesh Test squad.

It is learnt that he was included in the team at the last minute as he recovered quickly after completing the rehabilitation process. Litton will catch a flight to Australia today to join the team in Darwin.

On Saturday, the BCB said in their statement, ‘Litton Das has been included in the Bangladesh Cricket squad for the first Test against Australia after recovering from a left foot injury. The first Test of the Bangladesh-Australia series will begin in Darwin on August 13.’

“The 31-year-old batsman has been out of action since June due to injury. However, he has been considered for the first Test as his rehabilitation has been progressing satisfactorily. He will leave for Darwin on Sunday and join the Bangladesh team there.”

The Tigers are scheduled to play a three-day warm-up match from August 6-8. After that, Nazmul Hossain Shanto’s team will face hosts Australia in the first Test of the series at the Marrara Cricket Ground in Darwin.

The first Test between Bangladesh and Australia will be held from Augusts 13 to August 17. The second and final Test between Bangladesh and Australia will take place at Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay from August 22 to August 26.
