‘I’m slowly becoming a new person,’ Moushumi Hamid
Popular small screen actress Moushumi Hamid announced her marriage and motherhood at the beginning of this month. She revealed the shocking news at an event with a baby bump. Now, the actress is discovering the various feelings of motherhood.
Moushumi posted a long post on Facebook on Wednesday, along with a picture of her baby bump.
In the post, she shared her newfound understanding and feelings.
The actress wrote, “There are days when I can’t even recognise my own reflection when I stand in front of the mirror!”
Moushumi wrote about the changes in herself, “Now…my body is changing. My heart is changing. My life priorities are changing. Maybe…my soul is changing too.
Life has put me through trials I never imagined. I have learned the pain of betrayal. I have also learned what disappointment sounds like. I have understood that not everyone who promises to protect keeps that promise.
There have also been times when I have questioned my own existence, my own worth, and my own strength. Yet life, with its own beauty, reminds me again and again-every ending sometimes opens the door to a new, more meaningful beginning.”
The ‘Naya Manush’ (new person) actress also said that she is getting herself together more after getting the taste of motherhood.
She wrote, “Today I carry a small heartbeat inside me – which has unknowingly become the biggest teacher of my life. This little soul has given me a reason to heal. It is not because my suffering was not worth it; rather, love has become much greater than that suffering today.
I no longer want to carry anger. I no longer want to remember any old or new wounds over and over again. I do not want my child to bear the burden of all the wars that he has nothing to do with.”
Describing her newfound self, Moushumi wrote, “Every stretch mark on my body, every sleepless night, every pain, and every little kick from within reminds me that I am slowly becoming a new person. Not just a mother, I am a stronger woman.
A softer heart. A calmer mind. A soul filled with more faith. Those who have hurt me, you are part of a chapter in my life that has taught me to be strong. And those who have loved me, you are the biggest blessings of my life.”
To her unborn child, Moushumi wrote, “And this little miracle life growing inside me, you changed me before I even held you in my arms.
I promise to choose peace over bitterness, love over fear, and hope over pain. One day when you ask me, who made me the strongest? Then my answer will always be the same, you.”
Incidentally, at the end of March this year, Moushumi Hamid announced that her marriage with Abu Sayyid Rana had broken up.
They separated at the beginning of the year. Three months later, in July, the actress announced the news of her new marriage.
Now her life partner is Abdul Wadud Sajeeb.
