Runa to perform solo at Shilpakala Academy

Runa Laila will perform at the main stage of the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on July 18.

Academy officials and the singer’s team have confirmed the event. She will sing around 10 of her popular and beloved songs at the event.

The programme will feature notable songs sung at various points across her six-decade musical career.

Runa Laila said she would try to sing some of the audience’s favourite songs.

She noted that in her 62-year career, she has performed at Shilpakala Academy only two or three times before. However, this will be her first solo music programme there.
