



A free eye treatment and primary healthcare camp was held on Tuesday in Subidpur Union under Nalchity Upazila, organised by the Nalchity Agriculture and Youth Development Club (Taltala Bazar) with the support of Barishal Modern Eye Hospital.
The camp took place at the auditorium of Taltala Bahadurpur Dakhil Madrasa from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, where local residents received free medical consultations, eye examinations, and essential primary healthcare services. The programme was chaired by the club’s President, Kabir Hossain Khan.
Among those present were General Secretary Aslam Hossain Minar, Treasurer Amir Hossain Mamun, and the club’s Founder and Director, Kamrul Shikder Waliullah, who attended as the special guest.
Advisory council members Ibrahim Khalil Kamal and Maulana Emdadul Haque also attended the event. The camp was supported by a team of dedicated volunteers, including Riaz Uddin Jewel Molla, Jalal Khan, Hasibur Rahman Shanto, Palash Chandra Mondal, Jibon Mahmud, Raihan Khan, and others.
Organizers said the initiative aimed to make essential healthcare services more accessible to people in the area, particularly those with limited access to medical facilities.
The Nalchity Agriculture and Youth Development Club have been actively carrying out a range of community welfare programmes. Its ongoing initiatives include free training for farmers on modern agricultural practices, livestock rearing and vaccination campaigns, basic IT training, as well as seed collection and seedling distribution to support local farming communities.
