Popular TV actress of this generation, Aisha Khan’s long wait is finally over. Her film ‘Shekor’, directed by Proshoon Rahmaan, is set to release in theatres nationwide on July 31.
Director Proshoon Rahmaan initially planned to release the film on Eid, but changed his mind as multiple movies were being released at that time. Later, release of ‘Shekor’ was announced after the FIFA World Cup. Finally, the film is finally coming to the big screen.
Regarding the film, Aisha Khan said, “‘Shekor’ is a very important work in my career. Finally, the film is being released. The long wait is over. I hope that the audience will go and watch the movie in the theatres. I believe they will like both story and the characters.”
‘Shekor’, a story about the eternal relationship between man and soil, stars Aisha Khan along with FS Nayeem, Dilara Zaman and many others.
The film has received international acclaim even before its release in the country.
The film had its world premiere at the International Film Festival of South Asia (IFSA) in Toronto, Canada. There, Aisha’s character ‘Falguni’ particularly caught the attention of the audience and critics.
Meanwhile, Aisha is also busy as a presenter in addition to acting. She has more new work in her hands. The shooting of her movie titled ‘Songbad’ will start soon.
She is also working on dramas and OTT. Instead of acting in same type of character, Aisha wants to see herself in different stories and strong characters. That is why her presence on the small screen has been relatively low in recent times.
When asked why, the actress said, “I don’t like working on the same type of story. In the case of OTT, I received several offers in the beginning, but later I didn’t get a story that I liked.
Maybe that’s why the audience is watching me less. I’m always waiting for good stories and characters.”
Aisha Khan is quite clear in her life outside of work as well. Rather than being the centre of gossip or discussion, she is interested in making her position through work.
After long preparations, international screenings and audience expectations, ‘Shekor’ is finally coming to theatres. All in all, it can be said that Aisha’s wait for her new chapter on the big screen is coming to an end.
