‘Tribunal’ team awaits Moushumi Hamid, Tania Brishty

The film ‘Tribunal’ is being made based on the sensational true story of a housewife being burned to death in Chattogram. The official announcement was made by director Raihan Khan in December last year. At that time, the director said that 70 per cent of the shooting of the film has been completed and wanted to release it on Eid in 2026.

However, even after two Eids this year, no update has been received on the movie ‘Tribunal’.

In the meantime, actress Tania Brishty informed that she was diagnosed with a brain tumour in February. She has already undergone two surgeries in the country and abroad. She is preparing for the third surgery.

On the other hand, another actress of ‘Tribunal’, Moushumi Hamid, surprised her colleagues by appearing with a baby bump at the OTT platform Chorki’s Awards ceremony last Friday. She announced her second marriage on the same day.

When asked what the future of the tribunal will be in such a situation, director Raihan Khan said that he wants to start shooting the rest of the ‘Tribunal’ next month.

He is planning to include Tania and Moushumi. If they can give time for the shooting, the shooting will continue with them. If they are not physically fit, the shooting of their part will be done later.

When the topic of Tania Brishty’s illness and Moushumi Hamid’s motherhood was raised, the director said that he is in touch with the two actresses. They will only stand in front of the camera if they are physically fit.

Raihan Khan said, “Tania Brishty has very little work left. Her part will be completed in one day of shooting. The same goes for Moushumi Hamid. Tania is feeling a little stable now. By the grace of Allah, she will be able to stand in front of the camera even if she is the way she is now.

And Moushumi has a few scenes in the courtroom. She is not supposed to have any problems there and the fact that she is pregnant will not be understood. However, if they do not feel comfortable, then we will wait. We want to finish the remaining work without them next month. Later, we will do the parts of both of them as a patchwork.”

The movie ‘Tribunal’ also stars Tariq Anam Khan, Ador Azad, Rakib Hossain Yvon, Saira Akhter Jahan, Saberi Alam, Milan Bhattacharya, Shahed Ali, etc. Nusraat Faria will be seen in a special role.
