“My body should not be taken to the BFDC after my death,” said veteran Dhallywood actress Rozina. She lost the recently concluded Film Artistes’ Association’s election. After that, this popular actress made this statement at a press conference on Sunday at her residence in the capital’s Uttara area.
Regarding the election, Rozina alleged that there was no fair environment in this year’s Artistes’ Association’s elections. She claimed that she witnessed various irregularities in the entire process from voting to the announcement of the results.
At the press conference, Rozina said, “BFDC is no longer the same as before. Respect and values are being destroyed here. I don’t know if I will ever go to the Film Artistes’ Association. However, my body should not be taken to the BFDC after my death.”
She mentioned that the changing environment in the film industry for a long time has forced her to take such a decision. The actress claimed, “People today have absolutely no mentality to respect artistes.”
Rozina also claimed that Razzak had also arrogantly said during his lifetime that his body should not be taken to the BFDC after his death. Considering that experience and the current situation, he has long ago given the same instructions to his family.
Regarding her loss in the election, Rozina said, “I’m not saying this because I was tricked into losing. I had thought about it beforehand. I even talked to my family about it.” However, the actress also said that despite her anger towards the Artistes’ Association, she is not severing all ties with the BFDC.
She will go there if needed for a government event or as a member of the Producers’ Association. However, she no longer has the desire to go to the BFDC for any general purpose.
