



The Sirajganj Integrated Development Project (SIRDP) is located in 8 upazilas of Sirajganj and Pabna Districts under Chalan Bill, especially Shahjadpur,Ullapara, Tarash Raiganj Upazila, Chatmohar Bhangura Faridpur Upazila of Pabna District,Nator Singra with an area of 62753 hectares.
The financial year ended. It is noted that a total of 54,980 km of flood control dams and 15 switch gates and regulators were constructed under the said project.

After the completion of the project in the financial year 1990/91, if the drainage facility of the infrastructures built after the completion of the project failed, the water in the Chalan Beel was under heavy pressure, the water and flood control infrastructures and various parts of the dam were damaged.
As a result, the project became ineffective and 62753 hectares of IRRI boro crops and other agricultural crops in the project area were damaged by floods.
About 1.250 km downstream of the project in Shahjadpur Upazila, about 7550.00 hectares of Eri Boro paddy and other rabi crops will be protected from the impact of the early floods of the Hurasagar River.
Part of the flood season before the start of the low-height dam repaired by fully constructing 62753 hectares of land in the project area,.
IRRI boro crop along with other rabi crops are protected from the advance flood of Baral river.
It is called Bagabari Nimaichra Raotara Switchgate Dam. Every year Sirajganj Water Development Board Bagabari Raotara Nimaichra Dam IRRI Boro.
The construction of the dam starts in March-April and its functioning is completed in May-June to safely bring home the crops of dry season farmers.
