BD stars to shine at ‘Ananda Mela’ in Los Angeles

The Ananda Mela Award & Cultural Program 2026 is set to take place in Los Angeles on August 2. The event was originally scheduled for July 25 and 26, but the date and venue have since been changed.

This year’s program will now be held at the Church of Scientology in North Hollywood, California.

The information was confirmed by Ananda Mela Chairman Moazzem Hossain Chowdhury.

He said, “Due to the FIFA World Cup and the FOBANA Convention being held around the same time, we have decided to organize this year’s Ananda Mela as a one-day event. We hope this year’s program will be more colorful and enjoyable than ever.”

He further added, “The biggest attraction this year is that we will have legendary film actress Babita with us. She will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award. I personally met her in Dhaka and invited her to attend the event.”

Speaking about the event, Babita said, “After the date was changed, I spoke with Ananda Mela founder Khan Mohammad Ali, who informed me about the revised schedule. I hope to participate in the event shortly after celebrating my birthday.”

The organizers have also confirmed that National Film Award-winning singers Dilshad Nahar Kona and Imran Mahmudul will perform at this year’s program. Popular celebrity couple Nadia and Nayeem, along with Alif and Abu Naim, will also perform at the event.

It is worth mentioning that Babita will leave for Canada within the next few days, where she will celebrate her birthday with her only son, Anik. Bobita’s birthday falls on July 30.
