Actress Glenn Close and filmmaker Ridley Scott will receive Honorary Oscars at this year’s Governors Awards, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced.

The awards ceremony will take place on November 15.

Veteran animator Floyd Norman and producing partners Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler will also be honoured.

Glenn Close has received eight Oscar nominations throughout her career but has never won a competitive Academy Award.

Her nominated performances include roles in ‘Fatal Attraction’, ‘Dangerous Liaisons’ and ‘Hillbilly Elegy’.
