Orsha being honoured for first time
Nazia Haque Orsha is a talented actress of the small and big screens. Many of her acted dramas have fascinated and impressed the drama-loving audience of this country.
This time, viewers often say that the Bangladeshi showbiz industry has not been able to properly utilise an actress like Orsha, who is a talented actress.
Of course, Orsha has no thoughts about these things. She just loves acting, focusing on good stories, beautiful and challenging characters that are promising to her.
Orsha played an important role in the film ‘Ora 7 Jon’, a story based on the Liberation War, directed by Khijir Hayat Khan.
Orsha is going to be honoured the National Film Award for the first time for her performance in side character in this film at the 2023 National Film Awards.
It is mentioned that the National Film Awards in Bangladesh recognise side character through the Best Supporting Actress category which Orsha played in this movie.
While leaving for the shoot yesterday morning, Orsha expressed her feelings on the matter and said, “It was quite unexpected for me to receive the National Film Award.
However, the person who would have been the happiest about my receiving this award is no longer with us today. I’m talking about my mother here.
Because of my mother, I have hope so far today and she went to watch my latest movie ‘Ora 7 Jon’ with me, So if she could see this national award with my own eyes, my soul would find peace, and I would feel very good about it.
Receiving an award is certainly a matter of great joy. But the person who made me achieve this is no longer with us today.
So overall, I’m a little quiet because I feel a huge emptiness every moment because if my mother is alive, this achievement is 100 per cent complete.
Still, I am grateful to everyone involved with this movie, including the director. I am grateful to the judges who selected me and also to my adoring audience.”
Orsha said that on Sunday she was busy with shooting for the ongoing drama series ‘Khusbu’ airing on Deepto TV.
It is noted that in 2025, Orsha’s mother was awarded the ‘Maa Padak’ and she accepted the award herself.
