Apu Biswas receives a golden urn as gift

Dhallywood actress Apu Biswas has received many awards and honors in her acting career.

However, a special honor she received on Tuesday left her surprised and emotional.

She received a symbolic ‘golden urn (pitcher)’ as a token of love and respect.

Channel i Managing Director Faridur Reza Sagar handed over the golden urn to Apu Biswas at a special event.

Actress Kusum Sikder and another presenter, Samantha Islam, were also present at the special event with Apu Biswas.

The event was hosted by Iftekhar Munim.

Apu expressed her feelings today after receiving the golden urn. The actress detailed the experience in a post on social media.

Apu Biswas wrote, “An artiste is a treasure trove of love and respect. I have never counted on money in my life, I have only wanted people’s love.

That love has made me who I am today. My path is guided by the love and blessings of my family, the people of my country, and countless Bengali-speaking people spread abroad.

But I never imagined that a day would come in my life when such respect would be waiting for me.

A golden urn as a memorial of love and respect! It seems unbelievable to hear that. But that has come true in my life.”

She further wrote, “Yesterday afternoon I was working out. Suddenly, I got a call from Channel i, Rahman (journalist Abdur Rahman) Bhai.

He said, ‘Where are you? Come to Channel i quickly, there is urgent work.’

I didn’t know what the urgent work was, why you were calling me. I got ready quickly after returning home.

I rushed from my house in Bashundhara to the Channel i office in Tejgaon.

I felt different as soon as I entered Channel i. It felt new to a place I had been to so many times.

The arrangements around me, the atmosphere, the smiles on people’s faces-everything was as if waiting for a special moment.

Then that moment came. Suddenly, I saw a golden urn in Sagar’s (Faridur Reza Sagar) Bhai’s hand.

It was for me!” Finally, Apu wrote, “The value of the golden pitcher may be measured in gold. But to me, its value is much greater than that.

It contains love, respect, the blessings of a guardian, and recognition of a long artistic career.

I have received many awards and honors throughout my life. But this gift is different from everything else for me.

This golden pitcher will be the most emotional, most memorable, and most valuable achievement of my artistic career.”
