Entrepreneurship dev training prog launched

A month-long Entrepreneurship Development Training Program has been launched in Dhaka through NRBC Bank PLC under the overall supervision of the SME and Special Programs Department of Bangladesh Bank.
The program is being implemented as part of the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP), which is funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and implemented by the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance. A total of 25 promising aspiring entrepreneurs are participating in the training program.
The inaugural ceremony was held on Thursday at the Human Resource Training and Development Center (HRTDC) of NRBC Bank. The program was officially inaugurated by HusneAraShikha, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank.
The event was presided over by Dr. Md. TouhidulAlam Khan, FCMA, Managing Director and CEO of NRBC Bank PLC. Special guests included Md. MasumBillah, Additional Director and Project Director of Bangladesh Bank; Md. Ayub Ali, Joint Director and Deputy Project Director; Mohammad Abdul Qaium Khan, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of NRBC Bank; and Md. Romjan Ali Bhuyan, Head of SME-Business, Micro &Agri of NRBC Bank, among others.
Addressing the participants, Chief Guest HusneAraShikha emphasized the importance of developing skilled and innovative entrepreneurs for the country’s economic growth. She stated that the government aims to create employment opportunities for 10 million people and that Bangladesh Bank is implementing entrepreneurship development training programs to support this objective. She further noted that trained entrepreneurs will be eligible to access financing facilities through commercial banks to help establish and expand their ventures.
In his remarks, Dr. Md. TouhidulAlam Khan, FCMA, highlighted that the program has been designed to provide young entrepreneurs with access to knowledge, financial support, and practical training.
Through the month-long course, participants will gain hands-on expertise in business plan development, financial management, marketing strategies, and the management of innovative business ventures.
It is noteworthy that Bangladesh Bank and NRBC Bank have been jointly conducting similar entrepreneurship development training programs across various districts of the country on a continuous basis to promote local employment generation and foster the growth of new entrepreneurs.
