Eid to watch family drama ‘Waarish’

Every year, Eid dramas are usually dominated by romance, heartbreak, or comedy. However, this Eid, several dramas focusing on family stories have been produced.

Director Imraul Rafat has created a drama titled ‘Waarish’ centered on the emotions and struggles of a middle-class family.

The drama features Tariq Anam Khan and Monira Mithu in the roles of father and mother. Their two sons are portrayed by Tawsif Mahbub and Yash Rohan. The drama also stars Safa Kabir and Priyontee Urbee in important roles, alongside many others.

Writer and director Imraul Rafat said, “Usually, audiences are familiar with a certain type of story in Eid dramas. This time, I wanted to tell a story with a slightly different and deeper emotional touch. That is why I chose my own story, ‘Waarish’. I have tried to portray the bond, separation, struggles, and emotions within a middle-class family. I hope the drama will remind viewers of their own families.”
