Mosleh Uddin new DMP Commissioner

The government has appointed Additional Inspector General (AIG) Mosleh Uddin Ahmed as the new Commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

A notification issued on Sunday by the Police-1 Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed the appointment.

Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, who was previously serving as the Chief of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), has been transferred and posted to the top position of the capital’s main law enforcement agency.

The order said the decision was made in the public interest and comes into effect immediately.

With this, he succeeds the outgoing DMP commissioner, taking charge of maintaining law and order in Dhaka.
