World Autism Day observed in Manikganj

World Autism Awareness Day 2026 was observed in Manikganj on Wednesday with the theme, “Autism and Humanity – Every Life Has Value.”

To mark the occasion, a discussion meeting was arranged at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.

Deputy Commissioner Nazmun Ara Sultana and Deputy Director of Social Services Abdul Baten, among others, addressed the programme. Speakers stressed the need for greater public awareness about autism and urged society not to neglect children affected by neurodevelopmental disorders.

They also highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the government to ensure the welfare and development of people with autism.
