Dua Lipa sues Samsung over alleged unauthorised use of image

UK singer Dua Lipa has filed a $15 million lawsuit against Samsung, accusing the tech giant of using her image on television packaging without permission.

The Grammy-winning singer alleged that Samsung used a copyrighted backstage photograph of her to market and sells several television models.

In the complaint, she accused the company of copyright infringement, trademark infringement, and violating her publicity rights through what she described as the ‘unauthorised commercial exploitation’ of her likeness.

Lipa claimed the company ignored repeated requests to stop using the image.
