Babita to get Mother Award 2026

Celebrated Bangladeshi actress Babita is set to receive the Mother Award 2026 on May 10 in recognition of both her contribution to cinema and her role as a mother.

The award ceremony, organised on the occasion of World Mother’s Day, will be held at a city hotel under the patronage of Ali-Rupa Foundation. The veteran actress said she feels honoured to receive recognition not only for her film career but also for raising her son.

She said, “I have received National Film Award, lifetime achievement honours and Ekushey Padak for my contributions to cinema. But receiving a Mother Award for portraying maternal roles on screen and for raising my only son Anik as a good human being feels very special.”
