Suratuzzaman new NPA Chief

Dr Md Suratuzzaman has assumed office as the Executive Chairman of the National Pension Authority (NPA), the agency responsible for implementing the Universal Pension Scheme under the Ministry of Finance.

As a senior officer from the 15th batch of the Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) cadre, has been appointed on a contractual basis for two years through a notification issued by the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance.

Throughout his career, he has served in several key government positions, including Assistant Private Secretary to former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

He has also been involved in social welfare activities and writing alongside his administrative duties.
