Kenyan delegation visits Ctg Port
Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), Kenya Special Economic Zone Authority (SEZ) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) along with technical consultants visited Chattogram Port Authority (CPA) on Tuesday.
The delegation was welcomed by Commodore Ahmed Amin Abdullah, Member (Harbour and Marine), Chattogram Port. During the formal meeting, the Kenyan delegation was briefed on the recent development activities of Chattogram Port.
After the meeting with the Member (Harbour and Marine), the delegation attended a briefing session at the CPA boardroom. A detailed PowerPoint presentation was given on CPA’s current capabilities, ongoing projects, digitization and future plans.
Later, the Kenyan delegation briefed the delegation on a detailed outline of the development of Mombasa Port and Mombasa Special Economic Zone – Dongo Kundu (MSEZ-DK). The delegation visited the operational area of Chattogram Port and expressed high appreciation for the port management.
The meeting was attended by the Managing Director of Kenya Ports Authority, Captain William K. Ruto Afoni, Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Special Economic Zone, Kenneth Chiluli, and senior officials of Kenya Ports Authority, Kenya Special Economic Zone, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Technical Consultant and Director (Transport), Director (Security) of CPA.
