Runa Laila to receive ‘Minar-e-Delhi’ award

The entire subcontinent is mesmerised by the magic of Runa Laila’s voice, the shining star of Bangladeshi music.

Now, in recognition of her contribution, she is going to be honoured with a special award in the Indian capital Delhi.

She will be presented with the prestigious ‘Minar-e-Delhi’ award at the upcoming 15th ‘Delhi International Film Festival’.

Organised as a subsidiary of the Indian Ministry of Film and Broadcasting, the festival will run from May 4 to 8.

Expressing her excitement over the award, Runa Laila wrote on social media, “Many thanks to the Delhi International Film Festival authorities for the invitation to confer the prestigious ‘Minar-e-Delhi’ award.
