This initiative makes quality medical care more affordable for Bangladeshi patients, as Jamuna Bank cardholders are now eligible for up to an 8 per cent discount on treatment costs exceeding RMB 20,000, subject to specific terms and conditions.

The agreement covers a comprehensive network of 12 internationally accredited Chinese hospitals, offering specialized services in fields such as oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pediatrics, and traditional Chinese medicine.

Md Jahangir Alam emphasized Jamuna Bank’s commitment to delivering exclusive privileges, noting that this tripartite agreement brings world-class healthcare within reach for their cardholders.

Md Mozammel Haque, executive director of international affairs at BRHC, highlighted the organization’s role as a trusted facilitator, stating that the agreement empowers them to provide seamless services including expert consultations and medical visa assistance.

AbidurRahman noted that while the number of Bangladeshi patients seeking care in China is growing, many struggle with a lack of guidance; this partnership aims to streamline the process with transparency and international standards.

This landmark partnership is expected to open new vistas in the medical tourism sector and significantly expand access to modern healthcare for Bangladeshi citizens.
