Japanese minister attends JS session in Dhaka
Japanese Prime Minister’s special envoy and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries SUZUKI Norikazu attended the session of the Jatiya Sangsad on Wednesday afternoon.
The House warmly welcomed the visiting Japanese minister as Members of Parliament greeted him by thumping their desks following an announcement by Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni.
The Chief Whip informed the House that the Japanese minister, along with his delegation, was visiting the parliament and expressed delight at his presence. He also noted that Bangladesh and Japan have maintained a long-standing friendly relationship since 1971.
Deputy Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal was presiding over the session during the visit, which took place around 5:50pm.
