Alamgir new drug admin DG

The government has appointed Additional Secretary Alamgir Hossain, currently attached to the Ministry of Public Administration, as the Director General of the Directorate General of Drug Administration.

A notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday confirmed his appointment.

The order, signed by Deputy Secretary Mohammad Noor-e-Alam under the direction of the President, states that Md. Alamgir Hossain has been posted as DG of the Drug Administration on transfer and deputation. The notification also said the order will take immediate effect.

Earlier, Major General Md. Shamin Haider had been serving as the Director General of the organisation since 22 October 2024.
