Hansika in trouble for making negative comments in showbiz

South Indian actress Hansika Motwani has come under fire for her comments on sexual harassment or casting couch in the Indian film industry. Her statement in an interview has created a huge controversy on the internet. 

In a recent interview, Hansika was asked if she had ever faced an uncomfortable situation like ‘casting couch’ while working since the beginning of her career.

In response, the actress said that she had never experienced such a thing in her life.

After that, she said, “Such incidents don’t happen to those who just come to work.
I came to work, so it didn’t happen to me.”

After this comment, many people feel that Hansika’s statement indirectly belittled the experiences of others. When the host asked her what she thought about the experiences of others, Hansika said, “I can’t comment on what didn’t happen to me.”

This part of the interview went viral on social media. A section of netizens claimed that it was insensitive for a woman to make such a comment.

Some sarcastically said that one cannot deny the existence of a problem without having experienced it firsthand.

However, Hansika has not yet publicly responded to the controversy. Her comments have reignited the issue of ‘casting couch’ in the entertainment industry.
