MASTUL expands multifaceted services
MASTUL Foundation one of Bangladesh’s leading charitable organisations has been working for more than a decade.
Demonstrating a remarkable commitment to transparency and accountability, the organization regularly shares its audit reports every year.
What began in 2012 as a humanitarian initiative led by visionary Kazi Reaz Rahman and a group of young volunteers has now grown into a trusted institution supporting hundreds of thousands of people.
Through diverse humanitarian programs in food, education, healthcare, and employment, MASTUL Foundation has become a reliable name for the country’s disadvantaged communities.
During the ongoing humanitarian crises in Gaza, Palestine, and Sudan, MASTUL Foundation directly provided nutritious food for children and essential life-saving medicines.
Through various projects, the foundation continues to deliver humanitarian services to different segments of society.
With the love and support of the people, the organization has reached its current position. By properly distributing zakat and sadaqah funds, MASTUL Foundation helps underprivileged families become self-reliant through small business initiatives. The foundation believes that sustainable solutions are more effective than temporary aid.
To make this empowerment process more structured and legally compliant, MASTUL Foundation is conducting Islamic finance activities with approval from the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) under the Ministry of Finance. Through fully Shariah-compliant investments, the organization is working to ensure the economic empowerment of marginalized communities.
In particular, interest-free loans under the “Qard Hasan” scheme are being provided to unemployed youth, enabling them to create employment opportunities for themselves and develop as entrepreneurs. MASTUL Foundation also operates its own guesthouse and conducts free food distribution programs in various areas of the capital. In particular, a designated point in Karwan Bazar and several other locations in Dhaka.
The “Islamic Shelter Home Complex” center will also serve as a secure haven for disadvantaged and orphaned children, offering not only education but also a nurturing environment.
Kazi Reaz Rahman, Founder and Executive Director of MASTUL Foundation, stated, “Every activity we undertake is for the pleasure of Almighty Allah. The equitable distribution of wealth and improvement of the lives of the poor require proper management of Islamic social finance such as zakat and sadaqah. From the very beginning, we have maintained transparency by publishing our audit reports publicly to preserve donors’ trust.”
