79th Cannes Film Festival: Debut with Pierre Salvadori’s La Vénus Électrique
The 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival will begin on May 12. This year, the opening film has been selected as the French director Pierre Salvadori’s La Vénus électrique.
Following a grand opening ceremony at the Grand Théâtre Lumière on May 12, the film will have its world premiere.
On the same day, it will also be released in theaters across France, spreading the Cannes Festival atmosphere throughout the country. La Vénus électrique is set against the backdrop of Paris in 1928.
In this film, Pierre Salvadori presents a blend of artistic ambiance and spirituality from the early 20th century in Paris.
