Mild heatwave predicted
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted mild heatwave in the western part of the country in next 24 hours commencing from 9 am.
A Met office bulletin said this morning “Mild heat wave may sweep over the western part of the country. It also predicted rain in different parts of the country.
“Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions,” the bulletin added.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Day and night temperatures may rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius over the country.
