‘Stand up against tyranny,’ Jane Fonda at anti-Trump rally

Oscar-winning Hollywood actress Jane Fonda has spoken out against interference in the arts, culture and media in the United States.

At a rally organised in front of the John F Kennedy Centre for Performing Arts in Washington, DC on Friday, she called on citizens to ‘break the silence’ and ‘stand firm against tyranny.’

Hundreds of journalists, artists and writers took part in the rally despite rainy weather.

The event, led by Jane Fonda, raised allegations of book bans, political censorship and threats to freedom of expression.
