Election Lab inaugurated at SUST

Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) Representative for the first time in the country, the ‘Election Lab’ has been inaugurated by the Political Studies Department of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology for the purpose of election-based research.
This lab will work to conduct systematic and practical research on elections, voting behavior and the electoral process.
Vice-Chancellor of SUST Professor Dr. A. M. Sarwaruddin Chowdhury officially inaugurated the Election Lab at a ceremony held in Room 504 of the Social Sciences Building on Thursday.
During the inauguration, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. M. Sarwaruddin Chowdhury said that through this Election Lab, teachers and students will benefit from collecting and reviewing election data.
At the same time, he said about this year’s election, this year’s election was comparatively better than other elections. I hope this Election Lab will play a role in making the next elections in the country better.
The President of the Election Lab inauguration meeting and Head of the Department of Political Studies, Professor Dr. Ashrafur Rahman said, ‘The inauguration of the lab for the first time in the department is a groundbreaking initiative. Students will be able to enhance their own research and analytical skills.’
Director of the Election Lab, Professor Dr. Md. Sahabul Haque said, “The goal of this lab is to present reliable research results through scientific analysis of election-related information and data and to enrich democratic practice.”
The program was attended as a special guest by Professor Dr. Md. Ismail Hossain, Treasurer of Shabiprobi. The chairman of the department, Professor Dr. Syed Ashrafur Rahman, presided over the program. Additional Director of the Election Lab, Professor Dr. Zayeda Sharmin and Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam, delivered welcome speeches at the program. The director of the Election Lab, Professor Dr. Md. Sahabul Haque, moderated the inaugural program. During this time, the teachers of the department, Professor Dr. Fahamida Akhter, Associate Professor Dr. Md. Emdadul Haque, Associate Professor Dr. The teachers and students of the department, including Hazera Akhter, were present.
