Zayan played for Bangladesh in the AFC U-23 team and was called up to the national team after performing well. He later made his debut against Hong Kong on October 9 in AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers. Then he played two more matches.

The defender returned to America after playing a match against India on November 18. He continued playing there along with his studies.
