Arrest warrant issued against Hero Alom

A court has issued an arrest warrant against controversial content creator Ashraful Alom alias Hero Alom on charges of rape, physical abuse and abortion on the promise of marriage.

Judge Anwarul Haque of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-2 in Bogura issued the order on Tuesday afternoon.

State lawyer Ali Asgar confirmed the matter and said that the court ordered the issuance of an arrest warrant against Hero Alom after receiving the investigation report of the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).

He added that the PBI report found the primary truth of the allegations.

According to the complaint, Ashraful Alom alias Hero Alom promised to make the victim Sadia Rahman Mithila a heroine.

Later, he allegedly raped, physically tortured and forced her to have an abortion by deceptively tempting her with the promise of marriage.

After denying the allegations, Mithila filed a case in the Bogura court under the Prevention of Violence against Women and Children Act on April 21, 2025.

After the case, the PBI investigated and found the initial truth of the allegations.

After reviewing the investigation report, the court took cognizance of the allegations and issued an arrest warrant against Hero Alom.
