Closing Ceremony of Bangladesh Light Engineering Expo–2026
The Three-day Bangladesh Light Engineering Expo-2025 concluded today at Shaheed Abu Saeed International Convention Centre (ICCS), Dhaka. The fair successfully showcased the latest technologies, innovations, and international capabilities of the country’s light engineering industry.
The Key Speakers at the ceremony was Sheikh Md. Abdur Rahman, Joint Secretary & Deputy Director, EC4J Project, Ministry of Commerce, Mr. Liaquat Ali, Advisor, BEIOA, Md. Abdur Razzak, President, BEIOA, Mr. Raju Ahmed, Vice President, BEIOA. The ceremony was presided over by Md. Abdul Razzak, President BEIOA. Mr. Raju Ahmed, Vice President, BEIOA.
In his speech, Sheikh Md. Abdur Rahman stated that BLEF-26 serves as a vital platform to showcase Bangladesh’s light engineering sector to international standards. He emphasized the need for rapid technology transfer and skilled workforce development to ensure competitiveness in the global market.
He further noted that the light engineering sector plays a key role in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and has significant potential for innovation and investment in the circular economy and recycling. BLEF-26 featured 67 stalls and participation from over 45 organizations, reflecting Bangladesh’s industrial capabilities.
Mr. Liaquat Ali highlighted that BLE Expo-26 demonstrates how light engineering has become an integral part of the national economy, generating employment and contributing significantly to export-oriented industries.
In his address, Md. Abdur Razzak emphasized that BLE Expo-26 is not just an exhibition but a confluence of technology, innovation, and opportunity. The fair strengthened business networking, created new investment prospects, and familiarized local producers with modern and environmentally friendly technologies.
Concluding the ceremony, Mr. Raju Ahmed extended heartfelt thanks to all exhibitors, participants, sponsors, partners, and visitors. He expressed gratitude to the government departments and all stakeholders for their support in making BLE Expo-26 a success and expressed optimism that future collaborations will further enhance international partnerships and sustainable development in the light engineering sector.
