Tarique at Feni Rally: BNP will deliver fertiliser, seeds to farmers

BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman said, for the past 15 years, your right to vote was taken away by force. Now, when the path to building the foundation of democracy has begun again, a group has started a conspiracy.

I would like to request all of you to keep your eyes and ears open. Be vigilant so that no one can take away your right to vote and your right to speak through conspiracy.

BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman made these comments at an election meeting at the Feni Government Pilot High School grounds on Sunday evening.

BNP organized this rally on the occasion of the campaign for the national parliament elections. BNP’s nominated parliamentary candidates from Feni, Noakhali and Lakshmipur were present on the stage.

Thousands of leaders, activists, supporters and ordinary people from Feni and surrounding districts gathered at the ground.

At 5:45 pm, the bus carrying Tarique Rahman entered the rally ground of the Government Pilot High School in Feni city. He entered the rally ground and went on stage after the Maghrib prayer. After two decades, Tarique Rahman attended a political rally in Feni and spoke for 25 minutes.

Tarique Rahman said, if BNP forms the government, we will start working to solve the problems. The only thing is, we have to build our country. If we cannot build this country, the future will be destroyed.
If BNP voted to power, we will ensure direct delivery of fertilisers and seeds to farmers.

We will not be able to build the future. This country is the last address of all of you and me. We were born in this country, we died in this country.

This country is our first address, this country is our last address. Therefore, to build this country, we all have to unite and we all have to work together.

The public meeting was chaired by District BNP Convener Sheikh Farid Bahar and was attended by Feni-3 constituency candidate Abdul Awal Mintu, Noakhali-2 constituency candidate Zainul Abedin Faruk, Feni-2 constituency candidate Joynal Abedin alias VP Joynal, Noakhali-1 constituency candidate Mahbub Uddin Khokon, Laxmipur-3 constituency candidate Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, Feni-1 constituency candidate Munshi Rafiqul Alam alias Majnu, party’s health affairs secretary Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, joint organizing secretary Harunur Rashid, joint training secretary and former MP Rehana Akhter, Jubo Dal president Abdul Monayem, BNP central executive committee members Abdul Latif, Jalal Uddin Majumder, Mamunur Rashid, Mesbah Uddin Khan, Shahana Akhter, Abu Taleb, Mashiur. Tarique Rahman, the eldest son of the late former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, said, “This time, those who do not pray Tahajjud on the day of voting will also have to wake up during Tahajjud.

Those who pray Tahajjud will go to the polling station after the prayers. They will perform Fajr prayers in congregation in front of the polling station.

They will stand in the voting line after seven in the morning. After the voting, they will return home after the counting of votes. No one will return home without understanding the counting. The future of Bangladesh in the future depends on the right decisions of the people of this country.

Regarding Feni, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Tarique Rahman said, “I have a demand on the people of the three districts. If the paddy sheaf wins in these districts, Khaleda Zia will win. The demand of the people of Feni is to establish a medical college, before establishing a medical college, I want to provide health care.

I want to provide doctors in the area like a village doctor. They should go to the houses of mothers and sisters and provide medical services. Regarding Feni, Tarique Rahman said, I have a kinship with Feni. It is my grandfather’s home. I want to provide employment opportunities in Feni like in Chittagong. I want to set up an EPZ in Feni. I want to train the youth and send them abroad. If the plan can be implemented, the fate of the country will change.

At the end of his speech, he introduced the candidates of Feni, Noakhali and Lakshmipur and requested them to vote on February 12 and make the paddy sheaf victorious.

At this time, Tarique Rahman said, if they are victorious, they will be obliged to answer to you. After being elected, he will go to them to solve the problems of the area. He will ask them to solve the problems of the area.

After finishing his speech at 6:30 pm, he left for Comilla by car. Earlier, the public meeting began at 3 pm with the recitation of the Quran. Family members of the missing and July martyrs and injured July fighters were present near the rally stage.
