Bangladesh clinch SAFF Women’s Futsal title

Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team clinched the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Futsal Championship title thrashing Maldives Women’s Futsal team by 14-2 goals in their last match of the competition at Hua Mak Indoor Stadium in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand on Sunday.

The unbeaten Bangladesh women gained 16 points from six matches, while Maldives women remained with naught playing as many outings. Bangladesh women created history to clinch the SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship trophy for the first time. It may be mentioned that South Asian Football Federation for the first time arranged the SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship.

Maldives got the lead in the third minute of the play taking a mistake of Bangladesh goalie Shopna Akter and Masura Parvin.

Sabina Khatun leveled the margin in the fifth minute by a free-kiick.

\After one minute, Bangladesh were awarded a penalty kick. But Sabina Khatun failed to convert the penalty kick into goal.

Bangladesh got free-kick in the 13th minute of the play. Sabina Khatun doubled the margin by a superb shot.
Krishna Rani Sarkar made it 3-1 in the 16th minute of the game.

After one minute, Lipi Akter increased the tally into 4-1.
Lipi Akter scored her second goal in the 18th minute of the match.
Nouson Jahan made it 6-1 in the 18th minute of the match.

Sabina Khatun fulfilled her hat-trick in the 22nd minute of the clash.
Matsushima Sumaya increased the tally into 8-1 in the 23rd minute of the match.
Sabina Khatun scored her fourth goal in the 26th minute of the game.

Nilufa Yesmin Nila made it 10-1 in the 30th minute of the game.

Lipi Akter fulfilled her hat-trick in the 31st minute of the game.

After one minute Krishna Rani Sarkar made it 21-1 in the match.

Mehenur Akhtar increased the tally into 13-1 in the 32nd minute of the match.
After one minute Masura Parvin made it 14-1 in the game.

Mariyam Nura of Maldives reduced the margin into 14-2 before the final whistle.

Captain of Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team Sabina Khatun scored 14 goals playing six matches.
