35 hurt in Austagram BNP rally clash over seating

At least 35 people from both sides were injured in a clash between BNP and Jubo Dal leaders and activists over seating in chairs at a BNP election rally at Bhatashal(kastul) in Mitamoin haor upazila of Kishoreganj on Friday evening.

Locals said that in the evening, an election meeting of BNP nominated candidate Advocate Fazlur Rahman was going on in Bhatshala village of Kishoreganj-4 constituency. However, Fazlur Rahman could not attend the meeting due to illness.

In his absence, a procession led by Kastul Union Jubo Dal General Secretary Mahbub Alam Kismat reached the public meeting venue at the end of the meeting.
