Bangladesh women ease past Sri Lanka in SAFF Women’s Futsal

Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team eased past Sri Lanka Women’s Futsal team by 6-3 goals in their fourth match of the SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship at Nonthaburi Stadium in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand on Wednesday.
Bangladesh women led the points table gaining 10 points from four matches.
Captain of Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team Sabina Khaun put her team ahead in the 18th minute of the match. Krishna Rani Sarkar assisted her to score the goal.
Sabina Khatun doubled the margin in the 20th minute of the game after assisted by Krishna Rani Sarkar.
Sumaya Matsushima scored their team’s third goal in the 29th minute of the match. Krishna Rani Sarkar scored their team’s fourth goal in the 36th minute of the clash.
Masura Parvin netted their fifth goal in the 38th minute of the game.
Krishna Rani Sarkar scored their sixth goal in the 40th minute of the match.
Sabina Khatun scored six goals playing four matches.
Bangladesh defeated India 3-1 in their first match at the same venue on January on 15. Skipper Sabina Khatun who played a key role behind the Bangladesh victory scoring a brace. Bangladesh played a 3-3 goals draw with Bhutan in their second match at the same venue on January 17. Bangladesh blanked Nepal 3-0 in their third match at the same venue on January 19. While Sri Lanka played out to a 2-2 with Nepal, suffered 3-2 defeat to Pakistan and 5-1 defeat to Bhutan.
Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in their fifth match at the same venue on January 23.
Bangladesh will face Maldives in their sixth match at the same venue on January 25.
A total of seven team are taking part in the SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship. They are: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives. The competition is rolling on single league basis. The highest point taker team will be the champions of the first ever SAFF Women’s Football Championship.
