Emirates SkyCargo: 80pc of shipments booked digitally in 2025

Emirates SkyCargo, the cargo division of Emirates, closed 2025 with strong momentum, driven by rapid digital adoption, fleet expansion and continued investment in customer-centric innovation. Reflecting a major shift toward smarter, more efficient cargo operations, nearly 80 per cent of all Emirates SkyCargo shipments were booked digitally by the end of the year.
The airline’s accelerated digital transformation has simplified booking processes, enhanced visibility and improved the overall customer experience across its global network.
In parallel, Emirates SkyCargo expanded and modernised its freighter fleet in 2025, welcoming new Boeing 777 freighters while retiring older aircraft.
By the end of 2026, the airline expects to operate at least 21 freighters, supported by the delivery of up to 10 additional Boeing 777Fs, enabling further capacity growth and network expansion.
Network development also remained a key focus. In 2025, Emirates SkyCargo added eight new freighter destinations, expanding its dedicated freighter network to 42 destinations across six continents.
Increased frequencies to key trade hubs and the expansion of strategic interline partnerships further strengthened connectivity to primary, secondary and tertiary markets worldwide.
Operational investments continued to future-proof the business, including the adoption of low- emissions ground transport, next-generation cargo solutions and enhanced digital platforms. Product performance remained strong across major verticals such as perishables, pharmaceuticals, aerospace and secure shipments.
The launch and rapid expansion of Emirates Courier Express further reinforced the airline’s door-to-door delivery capabilities, delivering fast and reliable average transit times across an expanding global footprint.
Looking ahead, Emirates SkyCargo plans to double capacity, add 20 new freighter destinations and continue shaping the future of air cargo through digital-first, smart logistics solutions in 2026 and beyond.
