SEU achieves historic debut

Southeast University (SEU) is proud to announce its historic debut entry into the prestigious QS Asia University Rankings 2026. The university celebrated this significant milestone today, 6 November 2026 with a special meeting held in the Conference Room. The meeting was chaired by the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain. He shared the university’s outstanding specific achievements: 9th among Private Universities, 23rd among All Universities in Bangladesh, 224th in Southern Asia, Ranked within the 741-750 band in Asia.

Professor Mofazzal Hossain extended his deepest gratitude to all faculty and staff for their “tremendous hard work and unwavering dedication,” which pivotal in securing this global recognition.

He stated” This amazing achievement marks SEU’s step onto the global stage… these specific rankings-9th among private universities in Bangladesh and our solid placement in Asia-are a clear reflection of our collective commitment to quality… Every member of our community deserves heartfelt thanks for making this debut possible.”

He concluded by stressing the importance of continuous improvement to achieve even better rank in future editions of QS, THE, and other international systems, with the goal of elevating SEU’s standing as a leading institution.
