Md Rokonuzzaman elected BGCCI president

The Bangladesh German Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BGCCI) has announced its new executive committee for the 2025-2027 term, reaffirming its commitment to fostering trade, investment, and industrial collaboration between Bangladesh and Germany,according to press release.

Md Rokonuzzaman, country managing director of AMANN Bangladesh, was elected president of BGCCI. In his statement, he emphasised the importance of the Bangladesh-Germany business relationship, highlighting key sectors such as apparel, renewable energy, and emerging technologies.

“As president, I am dedicated to working with German enterprises and BGCCI to expand our commercial relations and attract further investment,” Rokonuzzaman said.

The newly elected executive committee features an experienced leadership team, including senior vice-presidents Md Farooque Khan of Weber Power Solutions Ltd and Tariq Anwar of MAN Energy Solutions Bangladesh Ltd, vice-presidents Osman Haidar of LOS Technology Ltd and Navaneetha Krishnan of Robert Bosch (Bangladesh) Ltd, and treasurer Adnan Md Iqbal of Globe Forwarding & Freight Ltd.

The board also includes directors from major industrial and technological companies such as 3i Logistics, Fichtner GmbH, KSK International, Heidelberg Materials, Synovia Pharma, VEIT Bangladesh, Vertex Wear, and WILO Mather and Platt Pumps.
