Robi profit rises by 133pc in Q2

Robi Axiata PLC, country’s second largest telecom operator, reported that its profit rised by 133 per cent in the second quarter of this year, compared to the same period previous year.

According to the company’s price sensitive statement published on its website on Monday, its earnings per share was Tk0.49 during the April-June quarter, which was significantly higher from Tk0.21 in the same quarter previous year.

At the end of the first half of this year, its earnings per share was Tk0.73, which was 78 per cent higher from the previous year at the same period.
