BADC to import TSP, DAP fertilisers from Malaysia

Business Report :

Under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) is set to import TSP and DAP fertilizers from Malaysia for the first time under a state-level agreement.

The agreement was signed recently in Kuala Lumpur between BADC and Malaysian company Selcra Niaga.

On behalf of BADC, the agreement was signed by its Chairman (Grade-1) Md. Ruhul Amin Khan. As per the agreement, Bangladesh will import 280,000 metric tons of TSP and 280,000 metric tons of DAP fertilisers from Malaysia, says a press release.

According to BADC sources, the agreement will play an effective role in ensuring the timely delivery of non-urea fertilisers to farmers, contributing to the development of an efficient agricultural system.
