Jubo Dal leader commits suicide

Jubo Dal leader Rakibul Islam Milu (45) committed suicide by hanging himself in Chatmohar, Pabna due to a family dispute. He is the son of the late Jamal Pramanik of Narikelpara Mahal of Chatmohar Municipality. Milu was the former joint secretary of Pabna District Jubo Dal, former general secretary of Chatmohar Municipality Jubo Dal and former elected publicity secretary of Chatmohar Businessmen’s Association.

He committed suicide by hanging himself in the stairwell of his house sometime on Tuesday . He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.

Chatmohar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Manjurul Alam confirmed the suicide and said that since there was no complaint, the body was handed over to the family.

A UD case has been filed in the police station in this regard. Meanwhile, Krishak Dal central president Hasan Jafir Tuhin, who received BNP’s primary nomination for Pabna-3 constituency, former MP KM Anwarul Islam, former upazila BNP organizing secretary Adhyay A. Rahim Kalu, and Businessmen’s Association general secretary Sheikh Md. Ziaurul Haque Sintu expressed deep shock at the death of Jubo Dal leader Milu and extended their deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
