Dengue claims 1 death in a day

Another person has died of dengue while 391 new patients have been hospitalised with the Aedes mosquito-borne disease over the past 24 hours.
The number of patients hospitalised with the disease this year rose to 14,460, while the tally of fatalities climbed to 55.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said the death was registered at a hospital in the Dhaka South City Corporation area, reports bdnews24.com
Bangladesh saw 19 deaths from dengue in June, the highest in any month this year. As of Jul 12, the month has seen 13 deaths. January saw 10 deaths, February three, April seven, and May three. No dengue patients died in March.
As of Jul 12, 4,164 patients have been hospitalised. January saw 1,161 hospitalisations, February 374, March 336, April 701, May 1,773, and June 5,951.
The Barishal Division has seen the most new cases in the past day, recording 128 new patients.
