Multilateral ties for Rohingya repatriation, regional stability

Bangladesh reiterated the need for multilateral diplomatic initiatives to ensure the safe, dignified, and voluntary repatriation of Rohingyas to Myanmar while maintaining regional peace and stability.
Speakers made the observations at a seminar titled “Bangladesh and Myanmar Relations from Global Power Politics: International Responses for Sustainable Peace and Stability,” organised by the Department of International Relations at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), said press release here, reports BSS.
The discussion highlighted the complex geopolitical dynamics surrounding the protracted Rohingya crisis, which has continued to shape and strain Bangladesh-Myanmar relations, while underscoring Dhaka’s commitment to a peaceful resolution through diplomatic channels and global engagement.
Ambassador Christian Lechervy, Special Envoy for Myanmar from the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, delivered the keynote address at the seminar, emphasizing the importance of a comprehensive and coordinated international response to address the crisis.
