Two-day workshop concluded at BOU

Since joining as the Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Open University (BOU), Professor Dr. A B M Obaidul Islam has been relentlessly working to elevate the academic activities of the university to new heights, with a student-friendly vision. As part of this ongoing commitment, a two-day workshop titled “The Journey of Research: From Proposal to Thesis Writing” concluded successfully this Saturday at Bangladesh Open University (BOU).
The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Md. Sirazul Islam, Director of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). In his speech, he remarked, “I am truly delighted that you have received essential guidance on every stage-from preparing research proposals to writing theses.
I firmly believe that the knowledge and skills acquired in this workshop will ease your research journey and help you produce high-quality academic work. I wish you all success in your future research endeavors, and BOU will always stand by your pursuit of research excellence.”
The resource persons provided in-depth sessions on key topics such as systematic literature review, chapter-wise thesis structuring guidelines, qualitative and quantitative research methods, fundamentals of SPSS application, basic introduction to Python for research (summary overview), and the use of Mendeley in research.
Organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), the two-day workshop was held at the Lecture Gallery of the Conference and Training Center on the BOU Gazipur campus. A total of 70 MPhil and PhD researchers from Bangladesh Open University participated in the event.
