BD envoy to India present credentials today

Bangladesh’s newly appointed High Commissioner to India, Riaz Hamidullah, will present his credentials to the President of India today.
According to diplomatic sources in Delhi, he will present his credentials to Indian President Droupadi Murmu at a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi on Thursday.
“The President of India has scheduled a time on Thursday for the newly appointed High Commissioner of Bangladesh to present his credentials,” Faisal Mahmud, Press Minister in Delhi told the New Nation.
Riaz Hamidullah assumed his role as Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Delhi on 7 April. Before taking on this role, he served as Additional Foreign Secretary, overseeing regional organisations and multilateral economic affairs.
A seasoned diplomat, Riaz Hamidullah previously served as Bangladesh’s Ambassador to the Netherlands. He also held the position of High Commissioner to Sri Lanka.
