57 BNP-Jamaat-Shibir activists detained

Chittagong district police in a series of drives detained 57 activists of BNP-Jamaat-Shibir from two upazilas of the district on Friday night.
Naimul Hasan, Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) of Chittagong district said police detained 57activists including 25 Jamaat-Shibir activists in overnight raids at various places of Sitakunda and Lohagara upazilas on Friday night.
Among the detainees, 25 Jamaat-Shibir activists and 29 accused in different other cases were arrested from Lohagara upazila while three BNP activists were arrested from Sitakunda upazila, the police officer added. Police also recovered 54 litres of country made liquors from Lohagara Upazila during the drives.
